You want to have elaborate parades on public streets every once in a while to celebrate a saint...
You want to wear religious garments to showcase your modesty and self-respect...
You want time off work because you are celebrating a holy date and you want to exercise your freedom of religion...

Why is everyone freaking out? America's forefathers got rid of slavery; therefore racism no longer exists; therefore Bachmann's latest comments are not racist in nature.
Seriously though, what is with stupid people constantly trying to reclaim this phrase and attempting to sell it as legitimate? It's not!
When will people stop using phrases (or pictures) to say what they actually mean about people and their ideas?

To all those who attempt to propogate the concept of "reverse discrimination" in Canada:
Despite the fact that mosques are being built, gay rights are being upheld, prayers are being allowed in your public schools, Jewish cemeteries remain a reality, and more languages are being spoken in your cities and towns... immigrants and minorities (of all kinds) are not taking over your country.
Fret not my white friends; you remain in fine form when it comes to real power in this great country of ours.

I am still waiting for the Government of Canada to say something about the 30th anniversary of Canada's Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Nothing on the government website. Nothing on the Conservative Party website, except of course, an acknowledgment of (an important), yet different kind of anniversary.

Back in April and May of last year, any Canadian who questioned the military purchase of the F-35s was labelled unpatriotic and "against our troops." Nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, questioning your government isn't un-Canadian, it's a duty. And, it looks like all those treasonous individuals were right in questioning their government.
I am happy to see that the guy in this video below, is now changing his mind on what is to be the biggest military purchase in Canadian history. He owes us all an apology.
